I moved to Poland from the States for what i hope for is just half a year, and I REALLY dislike it here. Its great for a week or two if your on vacation, but not to live here. The schools here suck, both private and public. EVERYTHING COSTS A LOT. And they dont have STARBUCKS or WHOLE FOODS. Also they dont have HOLLISTER, ABERCROMBIE, and A&E.
This is very interesting what you wrote here. I hear a lot of different opinions about moving to Poland from States. Maybe you could say a little more what school do you go to approximate how old are you, where in Poland do you currently live etc. I also made a post in "Life in Poland" section of the Forum where I asked people to name 5 things they like and dislike about Poland, if you have a minute please add yours.
I agree prices are quite outrageous.
Are you staying there for good or maybe you are coming back.

I know Ania could probably agree with you, but I'll let her decide.
On the other hand, I love Whole Foods (aka Whole PAYCHECK)
way too much to leave the US w/o it. Not to mention, I enjoy
having 15 different kinds of chicken broth to choose from at every
grocery store. However, I've not yet been to Poland so this probably
doesn't mean much!

Okay so Poland isnt that Bad, it is beautiful. BUT, if you plan on moving with kids here, its impossible if you don't want to spend thousands on private skewl. Im talking 15,000 a year. But its crazy to move here, even if you have a lot of money in your pocket. I am 15, and go to a "English" school in Krakow. And its also extremely hard if your only half Polish. BTW, Marie, are you the Marie who is Ann's Brothers Fianace, in a not creepy way. LOL
